We work together to drive ambition for every future! **Purpose** The Associate, Strategy & Operations plays a critical role in shaping and supporting the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the Global Banking & Markets (GBM) Business Risk Management (BRM) team. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, this role is responsible for supporting key initiatives, enabling cross-functional alignment, and ensuring the smooth execution of global priorities. In addition to driving strategic projects and governance efforts, the Associate will contribute to annual budget planning and resource allocation, helping to align financial planning with business objectives and operational needs. This includes collaborating with stakeholders across GBM to gather inputs, analyze trends, and support decision-making processes that ensure fiscal discipline and strategic investment. This is a high-impact role suited for a highly organized, analytical, and collaborative individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about strategy, governance, and operational excellence. **What You’ll Do:** + Partner with the Chief of Staff to develop and execute BRM’s global strategy, including coordinating and prioritizing initiatives across GBM teams to ensure strategic alignment. + Act as a proxy for the Chief of Staff when needed, representing the team in meetings and decision-making forums. + Apply structured project management methodologies to deliver initiatives on time and within scope, engaging stakeholders effectively. + Manage SLA agreements, outsourcing arrangements, and budget allocations related to the Centralized Execution team in Bogotá and assist in the oversight of the broader BRM budget. + Support the response to ad hoc, time-sensitive requests from senior management, ensuring rapid coordination, clear communication, and timely delivery of high-quality outputs. + Drive employee engagement and internal communications to foster a strong and inclusive team culture. + Work closely with regional teams to ensure consistent execution, knowledge sharing, and alignment. + Maintain and oversee the team’s policies and procedures, ensuring they are current and aligned with internal standard + Foster a positive and inclusive team environment by consistently demonstrating kindness, empathy, and collaboration, serving as a role model for respectful and supportive behavior. **What You'll Bring:** + University degree in business, finance, or related fields. + Knowledge of GBM products + Strong organizational and project management skills. + Ability to work across teams and influence without direct authority and a strategic mindset with attention to operational detail. + A team player who leads with empathy, respect, and reliability. **Working Conditions** + Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. + Operate within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, where priorities can shift quickly, and responsiveness is key to supporting global initiatives and senior leadership. **\#LI-Onsite #GBM2025** **Interested?** If your experience is closely related but doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification, we do encourage you to apply - you might be the right candidate for this or other roles at Scotiabank!
