Job Duties: Construct active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Independently and in teams, evaluate and provide thoughtful recommendations on equity or fixed income strategies and asset classes across the globe. Make well-researched recommendations on asset class opportunities and identify investment managers best able to complete these. Work closely with BlackRock multi-manager investments teams and tailor investment solutions to our global clients. Actively own recommended investment strategies and ongoing monitoring. Participate in the design and ongoing management of portfolios with well-researched proposals for strategic investments. Document research findings from initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring with well-prepared reports summarizing manager performance and portfolio positioning. Stay up to date about products and trends in the investment management industry. Represent BlackRock and Manager Research in client meetings and to the investment industry. Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our Manager Research processes by proactively suggesting and developing new research techniques using our advanced technology tools.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative field; and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 2 years of experience involving each of the following: 1. Conducting investment research and analysis to provide equity or fixed income strategies; 2. Equity or fixed income assets classes: working experience of equity or fixed income in terms of characteristics, valuation, risk attributes; 3. Risk modeling: working knowledge of different measures of risk, with regards to asset classes and portfolios. Use of risk software/tools to create risk reports and analyses output; 4. Portfolio construction: working knowledge of how assets interact with each other, correlation, assembling a portfolio of different assets classes and strategies, rebalancing, expected risk and return from creating a portfolio; 5. Asset management: working experience in an asset management environment interacting and collaborating with different teams (e.g. client facing, operations, legal), familiarity with clients and different client types, meeting various timelines for clients and regulatory purposes.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$132,500.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
