**JOB PURPOSE**
Role is responsible for effective coverage of the FX, Options and Structured Notes business within CIBC’s Financial Solutions Group (“FSG”) in the Asia Time zone. The incumbent will join an experienced Sales Team in Asia to develop real money, central banks, regional banks, hedge funds, private banks and various other clients’ dealing into Asia. Proper on-the-desk training from senior Sales and Trading colleagues will be provided.
This role is an integral part of the FSG team and will work across geographies to ensure a consistent coverage program is in place for both Global and Asian clients. He/ She will partner with clients to understand their objectives, identify and analyze the risks they face, design solutions, and deliver products to respond to their needs.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Primary accountability is to contribute to revenue generation of the FSG team in the following ways:
+ Cross-asset sales coverage and trade execution support for existing clients across real money, central banks, hedge funds, regional banks, life insurers, and private banks.
+ Manage and deepen relationships with a designated portfolio of clients by understanding their objectives and providing solutions that fit their needs.
+ Proactively identify and onboard new clients that fit CIBC’s capabilities and risk appetite. Collaborate with infrastructure partners and take central ownership to ensure smooth onboarding and documentation processes.
+ Proactively identify client opportunities across FX spot, swaps, options, precious metals, rates, structured notes on both voice and e-platforms.
+ Share morning-shift responsibilities with desk colleagues to ensure smooth around-the-clock coverage for clients across the globe.
+ Coordinate internal (trading, sales, strategy & research, structuring, corporate banking, risk, operations) and external (platform & liquidity providers) resources to deliver best-in-class offerings to our clients.
+ Deliver timely market commentaries, trade ideas, pricing and trade lifecycle support.
+ Support strategic initiatives such as platform enhancement, process automation, and cross-selling.
**CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS**
+ Interacts on a regular basis with internal Risk and Advisory staff to ensure that proposed transactions comply with internal risk policies and industry regulations.
+ Collaborates with traders and originators in the execution of transactions.
**COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls.
**AUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS**
+ This role initiates and manages the execution of vanilla and structured transactions, evaluating and prioritizing transactions based on the rate of return on regulatory capital, probability of closing, ease of repeat transactions, and number of potential alternative applications.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
+ Good understanding of FX, Rates, and Structured Products.
+ Experience using key markets platforms: Bloomberg, FXConnect, FXT etc
+ Demonstrated marketing, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
+ Strong interest in Global Macro and financial markets.
+ Self-motivated to drive personal and team initiatives.
+ Strong team player and problem-solving ability.
+ Highly organized and detail-oriented.
+ Excellent communication skills; confident to engage senior stakeholders and clients
+ Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving market.
+ Fluency in Chinese and English.
+ Role typically requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

+ Some travel.
+ Highly collaborative work environment; over 50% of role is team-based.
