Associate, Finance Controller

Join our Valuation Control team as an Associate, Finance Controller, where you’ll execute price verification and benchmarking, calculate fair value adjustments, and strengthen our independent pricing and control framework. You’ll partner across Business, Risk, and Finance to resolve valuation issues, drive consistency within the VCG framework, and deliver value-added projects. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in financial services, strong analytical and quantitative aptitude, a solid grasp of valuation concepts and derivatives, and advanced skills in Excel/VBA, automation, and databases—along with clear communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Job responsibilities

Execute price verification/benchmark process including the calculation of fair value adjustmentsAssist with various VCG established practices and control initiatives as well as perform necessary work relating to management reporting, regulatory mandates and consistency within the broader VCG frameworkPartner with various functional groups on valuation related issues and develop/implement appropriate measures with the goal of ensuring fair valueEnhance existing control framework including reviewing independent pricing processes, assessing potential coverage developments and implementing new tools to enhance control efficiencyUndertake value-added projects related to Business, Risk, and Finance initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

3+ years of related experienceUndergraduate degree with finance and economics major Graduate degree with finance, economics, mathematics, engineeringAbility to understand complex products, and analyze transaction and process flowsWork experience in financial industry Understanding of valuation concepts as they pertain to financial products and derivatives, basic accounting knowledgeAnalytical and quantitative aptitude. Candidates with quantitative backgrounds Strong verbal and written communications skillsExperience with Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, automation and database skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
