Job Overview
The Associate Director, PSCS Finance Operations is responsible for the strategic direction, oversight, and delivery of complex projects and/or multi‑project programs within the PSCS Finance organization. This role ensures that project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with applicable SOPs, policies, and organizational practices.
The position requires strong financial and project management expertise, the ability to lead cross‑functional teams, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support operational excellence, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions
Lead and manage the full scope of assigned project(s) and/or multi‑project program(s), including objectives, timelines, deliverables, quality standards, and overall project governance.Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication channels, proactive issue resolution, and adherence to agreed reporting schedules.Develop, maintain, and oversee comprehensive project plans covering all project phases, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.Review and manage project budgets and scopes of work, ensuring alignment with financial targets and company goals; proactively manage change control processes.Ensure project data, documentation, and metrics are accurately maintained in project management and tracking systems.Provide direction and guidance to project team members on project‑related activities to ensure timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.Identify, assess, and manage project risks; develop and implement effective risk mitigation and quality management plans to minimize impact on project outcomes.Continuously assess internal and external resource needs to ensure adequate capacity and capability to meet project requirements.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of project execution within Finance Operations.Own and manage EAC and Non‑EAC financial performance, including forecasting accuracy, variance analysis, cost controls, and timely escalation of financial risks or deviations.Participate in RFP development and proposal activities, providing input into project scope definition, budgeting, and delivery approaches (remove).Participate in RFP development and proposal activities, providing input into project scope definition, budgeting, and delivery approaches.Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing project management guidance, mentoring, and training support to Project Managers and related teams.Serve as a key liaison between PSCS Finance Operations and other IQVIA functions to ensure alignment and integrated delivery across the organization.Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s DegreeMinimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 6 years of project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceProven ability to manage complex projects and multi‑project programs within scope, timeline, and budget constraintsStrong leadership, influencing, and negotiation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levelsDemonstrated problem‑solving capability and sound judgment in decision‑makingStrong customer focus and commitment to service excellenceProficiency in MS Office and project management tools; strong general software and computer skillsAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, management, and clientsKey Competencies
