What You’ll Do
Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-volume, mission-critical applications using Java, Spring, and REST.
Architect and implement systems leveraging microservices and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
Manage, coach, and mentor a dynamic team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Drive key initiatives, ensuring successful project delivery while aligning with business strategy and technical direction.
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from concept and planning to deployment and support.
Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams to identify requirements, develop solutions, and implement best practices.
Ensure system scalability, security, and performance through continuous improvement and rigorous testing.
Partner with external vendors and consultants as needed to augment project delivery and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
10+ years of experience building and delivering high-volume Java-based applications, with deep expertise in Java, Spring, and REST.
8+ years of experience architecting and designing microservices-based systems; 2+ years with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
6+ years of proven leadership, managing and mentoring software engineering teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Strategic mindset with experience evaluating and recommending new technologies and best practices.
Proficiency with modern CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Maven.
Strong background in performance tuning, system deployment, and production support.
Hands-on experience with unit and functional testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).
Our Assoc Director-Technology II, earns between $155,100.00-$261,100.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
