This position will play a key role in supporting innovation and strategic growth by ensuring accurate and compliant financial practices. This position focuses on core accounting responsibilities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities, while also contributing to process improvements and cross-functional collaboration. How you´ll make an impact:
Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of financial transactions and audits (e.g. SOX). And/or Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities. Collaborate with other departments to gather data and resolve accounting issues.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and system efficiency (e.g. participate in User Acceptance Testing).
Participate in training and stay updated on accounting standards and tools.
What you´ll need (Required):
Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting or related fields and 1 to 3 years of experience in General Accounting processes or related areas.
What else we look for (Preferred):
Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (JDE preferred) including Excel with general knowledge of accounts payable process and system (Coupa preferred).
Good understanding of international accounting principles (e.g. US GAAP, IFRS), local GAPP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Good verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese.
Experience in Business Centers as a plus.
Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Strict attention to detail.
Ability to identify, report, and work on continuous financial process improvements based feedback.
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
