The Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with all facets of conducting a successful NCAA intercollegiate program. The position must comply with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations and must display professional integrity. Duties include on-the-floor coaching during practices and games; recruiting of top-quality student-athletes; team travel, conditioning, academics, promotional and public relations activities; summer collegiate camps; other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with all facets of conducting a successful NCAA intercollegiate program. The position must comply with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations and must display professional integrity.

Duties include:On-the-floor coaching during practices and gamesRecruiting of top-quality student-athletesTeam travel, conditioning, academics, promotional and public relations activitiesSummer collegiate campsOther duties as assigned by the head coach

Required Experience:
Previous coaching experience at the collegiate, high-level club, or professional playing/coaching levelTeaching, communicating, and motivating student-athletesOrganizational and administrative experienceInterpreting, applying and explaining policies and procedures / rules and regulations

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree

Required Other:
Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet UI policy requirements for driving university-owned vehiclesAbility to travelAbility to work non-standard business hours

Additional Preferred:
Experience coaching at the NCAA Division I or II levelCommitment to NCAA, Big Sky, and University compliance standardsStrong recruiting network and experience evaluating talentCollegiate playing experienceFamiliarity with video analysis tools such as Hudl, Balltime, or VolleymetricsMaster’s degree

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 poundsAbility to assist in drills/practice
