Assistant Vice President, Career Outcomes and Continuing Education **POSITION DETAILS** The Assistant Vice President for Career Outcomes and Continuing Education will report to the Provost and will be responsible for the campus-wide student career success and continuing education strategies. Playing a pivotal role in enhancing the institution's position as an anchor institution of New York City, this position will be responsible for increasing the College’s internship and postgraduate employment rates; and for the strategic planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the continuing education program. This position involves overseeing various projects and initiatives aimed at improving student engagement, career readiness, and overall success. The Assistant Vice President will work with multiple departments and staff teams, and more, to ensure the effective implementation of programs that support career readiness and lifelong learning initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • **Career Outcomes** : Lead the development and execution of strategies to increase the College’s internship and employment rates, including overseeing the HunterWorks initiative and its various programs. • **Continuing Education:** Lead strategic planning for continuing education, including market analysis and trend forecasting, as well as develop and oversee a portfolio of non-credit and certificate programs, workshops, seminars, and online courses aligned with workforce needs and community interests. • **Academic Innovation:** Work with both internal and external stakeholders in the development of nontraditional academic initiatives including Micro-credentials, Micro-learning, A.I. integration into teaching a learning, research, and core operations, and more. • **Grant-writing and Fundraising:** Raise external funding from public, private, nonprofit, and philanthropic sources to support all of the various programs within the HunterWorks initiative. • **Partnership Building:** Develop partnerships with external organizations and industry leaders to create opportunities for students and to create direct and sustainable hiring and educational pipelines. • **Staff and Budgetary Management:** Oversee leadership of the HunterWorks initiative and other career-readiness programs and their constituent staff teams. • **Data Collection & Analysis:** Oversee a data collection and analysis strategy related to student internship and postgraduate employment outcomes. Coordinate closely with the CUNY Central Office to ensure data harmonization across systems. • **Event Planning & Coordination:** Organize and coordinate events such as the HunterWorks Summit, faculty workshops, student workshops, career fairs, industry and employer panels, and more. • **Strategic Planning:** Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the College's goals as embodied in its Strategic Plan related to academic innovation, student outcomes, and career readiness. **QUALIFICATIONS** This position is in CUNY’s Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and eight years’ related experience. For this position, a Master's degree is required, a Doctorate is preferred, as well as a minimum of 5 years of incremental academic administrative experience in higher education. As well as: • Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships with external organizations for the purpose of creating sustainable hiring pipelines for students. • Experience in engaging with and mobilizing faculty members on career-focused initiatives. • Proven track record of successful program management, staff management, budgetary oversight, fundraising, and event production. • Strong understanding of emerging technologies that can be leveraged to advance the College’s strategic planning goals – such as A.I., data analytics, and data science. Preferred qualifications include: • Experience within the CUNY ecosystem, familiarity with CUNY systems and platforms, and CUNY academic culture. • Experience with coordination among New York City agencies and stakeholders regarding public budgeting, development of contracts, Memoranda of Understandings, procurement, and more. **CUNY TITLE** Assistant Vice President **COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS** Salary commensurate with education and experience within the range of $175,000 - $189,108.
