Pratt Community College, An NJCAA two-year public college in Pratt, Kansas, invites applications for the position of Assistant Track & Field / Lateral Position TBD. The Assistant Track and Field Coach works under the guidance and direction of the Head Track and Field Coach and is supervised by the Director of Athletics.  This position must have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and can meet the travel demands of the athletic competition schedule. Additionally, candidates will assist with the personal development of student athletes in a manner which reflects PCC’s commitment to competitiveness and ethical behavior. The Assistant Track and Field Coach is delegated the responsibility for assisting in the development, organization, supervision, and management of the Track & Field.  Is responsible in assisting in the establish and execute a plan for competitive game strategies, schedule games, recruit student athletes, supervise team members during off-campus trips, arrange transportation and lodging, and manage the program and its budget. This is a full-time (12 month) position with excellent benefits.

 

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required with a Master’s degree preferred. Proven successful coaching experience; proven experience in recruiting successful student-athletes, experience and skills in training or instructing student-athletes; excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to analyze situations and develop solutions; ability to travel and work non-traditional hours; ability to foster positive internal and external public relations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience coaching at the collegiate level; knowledge and demonstrated experience with NJCAA and conference rules and regulations. Coaches must have and maintain a valid driver's license and meet PCC’s driving standards. Review of applications will begin immediately, and continue until the position is filled.
