Check out this video for more information on our great company! Location Description The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. Rissman. Set on a 10-acre campus, it is an incomparable property for both its city access and sense of complete retreat. Overview The Assistant Tennis Coach is responsible for providing private and group lessons to juniors and adults, assisting in the planning and coordination of tennis programming, and supervising daily tennis operations in the absence of the Tennis Director. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality service, fostering community engagement, and maintaining a world-class racquet facility. Key Responsibilities Teach private and group lessons (junior and adult), clinics, and team practice sessions. Collaborate with the Director to plan, schedule, and deliver instructional programs and new initiatives. Ensure quality instruction aligned with the department’s mission and standards. Supervise and support part-time employees and ensure completion of assigned duties. Oversee daily facility operations in the Director’s absence, ensuring a smooth and professional guest experience. Open the facility each morning as scheduled and ensure all courts and common areas are prepared for play. Assist in organizing and running member tournaments, open play sessions, and special events. Support members in joining league teams and provide relevant guidance. Communicate member needs and requests to the Director. Maintain court conditions including cleaning, setup, and basic upkeep. Inspect all equipment and report any malfunctions (e.g., rollers, brooms, court lights). Ensure walkways, pavilions, and stairs are free from debris and safe for guest use. Qualifications USPTA or PTR Certification required. 2+ years of racquet sports instruction or supervision experience. Strong playing background (NTRP level 4.0 or higher). Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently use hands and arms; occasional bending, kneeling, or climbing. Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs. Majority of work will be outdoors in varying weather conditions. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr. - $18.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
