Assistant Technical Service Manager

What this job involves:

As the Assistant Technical Services Manager based in Sydney you will work as part of a technical services team to deliver exceptional services to our client’s portfolio of buildings in Australia & New Zealand. You will be responsible for delivering PPM, predictive works, powerdowns, energy & building services projects, process development & implementation and day to day responding to issues within the buildings.

This position is varied and at times hands on. There will be a requirement to interface with members from all levels of the organisation and the public. The ideal candidate should have a friendly, pleasant and energetic personality, who enjoys providing excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

Technical Operations & Asset Management Excellence

Critical Infrastructure Support

Provide responsive technical solutions for building systems and user experience issues, ensuring seamless operations

Strategic Maintenance Leadership

Drive comprehensive planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to optimize asset performance

Execute quality assurance protocols and vendor management for critical building systems, maintaining industry-leading operational standards

Oversee MEP-F contractor performance to deliver exceptional service quality aligned with OEM specifications and best practices

Space Optimization & Compliance

Coordinate capacity planning and utilization analytics to maximize office efficiency and tenant satisfaction

Ensure full regulatory compliance across building portfolios while adhering to client-specific engineering standards and playbooks

Emergency Response & Project Delivery

Provide 24/7 incident management support for mission-critical corporate real estate operations

Lead technical oversight for new space installations, commissioning, and programming to achieve project objectives on time and within scope

Performance Analytics & Documentation

Deliver comprehensive technical reporting and portfolio performance insights to drive strategic decision-making

Maintain accurate as-built documentation and OEM specifications for optimal asset governance

Develop and manage Standard Operating Procedures (MOPS/SOPS/EOPS) for operational excellence

Innovation & Sustainability Leadership

Design and implement cutting-edge programs that reduce utility costs, enhance productivity, and generate measurable savings

Identify and execute energy efficiency initiatives with full lifecycle validation

Champion smart building technologies and sustainability initiatives to meet client ESG objectives

Continuous Improvement

Conduct thorough maintenance performance reviews to ensure optimal system reliability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to exceed client expectations and deliver innovative solutions

Sound like you? To apply you need to have:

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or facilities environment.

Certification in Sustainability such as LEED, WELL will be an added advantage.

Experience in managing minor projects will be an added advantage.

Thorough understanding of building services design and engineering management

Ability to identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency/improvement and implement agreed solutions
