What this job involves:
Seeking an experienced and client-centric Assistant Technical Manager to lead our facilities management team in managing and maintaining our office buildings. As an Assistant Technical Manager at JLL, you will have a strong grasp of client satisfaction with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions that improve systems, save costs, and ensure a safe and healthy environment for occupants. This role requires you to serve as an engineering and facilities management expert while fostering strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors. You will manage multiple sites and projects while guiding and mentoring team members, driving innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence that directly contributes to JLL's mission of delivering exceptional facility management solutions and creating transformative experiences for our clients.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Manage and maintain mechanical, electrical, and MEP systems including HVAC, lighting, and water supply systemsOversee the maintenance and repair of building equipment including elevators, generators, and fire suppression systemsDevelop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce energy consumption and costs while conducting regular safety inspectionsDevelop and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and client projects while collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractorsCommunicate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions while continuously improving systems to save costs for clientsIdentify opportunities to provide additional services to clients while developing and implementing innovative facility solutionsProvide strong leadership and guidance to the facilities management team while boosting staff satisfaction and moraleFoster a culture of safety, quality, and customer service while developing training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in engineering and facilities management with strong technical knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, lighting, and water supplyExperience managing and maintaining building equipment including elevators, generators, and fire suppression systemsStrong leadership and team management skills with ability to guide and mentor facilities management team membersExcellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, architects, engineers, and contractorsExperience developing and managing budgets for maintenance, repairs, and client projects with cost-saving initiative implementationKnowledge of energy-efficient solutions and sustainability practices for reducing consumption and operational costsAbility to conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance issues with strong problem-solving capabilities.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical fieldExperience managing multiple sites and projects simultaneously with proven track record in client satisfactionKnowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements for office buildingsExperience developing and implementing training programs for facilities management teamsBackground in innovative solution development with ability to think laterally and deliver creative facility improvementsFamiliarity with facility management software systems and technology platforms for operational efficiency.Location: Onsite
