About the Role As Assistant Technical Designer, you will assist in creating product technical specifications for Kohl’s private and exclusive brand merchandise. What You’ll Do + Collaborate on complex technical packages, ensuring adherence to testing, construction, grading and safety guidelines + Organize and schedule sample evaluations in compliance with dimensions, fit, and technique + Conduct sample evaluations to ensure they meet requirements for dimensions, product attributes, fit, functionality and technique + Summarize sample evaluation results for vendors + Collaborate with vendors to resolve product issues and refine details + Additional tasks may be assigned What Skills You Have Required + 0-3 years of experience in Technical Design, Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Manufacturing, or related fields + Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills + Effective verbal and written communication abilities + Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing or a related field Preferred + Experience using PLM and Adobe Illustrator or similar specification packages and sketching programs + Knowledge of textiles, construction and pattern making/grading
