Because it’s with Hilton where we never forget the reason we're here: to delight our guests, Team Members, and owners alike.  The Assistant Team Leader - Admin & Engineering Store leads the team in admin related tasks, maintaining records and upkeeping of the Engineering store as well as overlooking the daily maintenance of equipment according to the rules, ensuring that key equipment is in good technical condition.        

What will I be doing?  

As the Assistant Team Leader - Engineering Store, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

Operation

Receive and forward all goods and deliveries in and out of the hotel to the correct point of contact/storage area.

Able to follow standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store’s area of operation.

Monitor and take inventory regularly to compile orders based on par levels or needs.

Maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.

Monitor PAR levels for all items set by respective Engineering sections to ensure proper level. 

Responsible for storage of both operational & project stock.

Responsible for the day-to-day check on the storage facilities for upkeep and hygiene.

Responsible for verifying all goods arrived as per the agreed purchase, delivery note, Quality and agreed quantity are received.

Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.

Ensure cleanliness of all areas, keeping storage areas clean & tidy and in strict compliance with 5S standards.

Ensure the quantity requested and the quantity issued always match.

Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.

Conduct physical stock audits semiannually and the physical count is to be tallied with the inventory count from the Material Management System.

Any differences between the manual count and MMS software have to be investigated and the information to be given to the Department Head.

Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.

Extend all requisitions daily and update the inventory management software/system.

Work closely with Purchasing to order and receive items and equipment.

Troubleshoot any vendor delivery issues and oversee/follow up on the return process.

Follow up on documentation of after-hours issues ensuring it is by established internal controls and procedures.

Maintain records on expiry of items Inform Engineering team leaders on the expiry of items if any prior to one month

Maintain warranty tracker for the all the equipment’s

To be fully familiar with the CONRAD Service Delivery Standards and the Quality Assurance Audit and to follow these standards of service as they apply to                   the Engineering Department.

Follows CONRAD Service Delivery Standards operating standards at any time, in Engineering.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and                           boscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Ability to recognize and protect precious components while performing finishing duties.

Other tasks may involve special projects such as box building or fabricate moldings.

 Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

  Report and fill out maintenance requests concerning breakages and or defective plant and equipment.

To assist Engineering staff members in the correct principles / Engineering procedures associated with the installation / repair of electrical equipment                 associated with the Hotel operation.

To be flexible and provide support and assistance where required in all aspects of Engineering services, including the performance of any tasks requested of you and be willing and responsible to perform any duties as designated by the team leader.

Fosters team member commitment to providing excellent service, participating in daily briefing meetings and models desired service behaviors in all interactions with guest and team members

Safety

Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health and safety. Team Members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

 Ensure that the HiltonCleanStay guidelines, policies, procedures, rules & regulations are adhered to.

Ensure that team members meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety & welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.

Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

What are we looking for? 

An Assistant Team Leader - Engineering Store serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: 

At least 2 years of Engineering experience. 

Excellent grooming standards

Exceptional communication skills

Positive attitude and good communication skills.Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.Ability to work on your own or as part of a team.Have a good eye for detail.Familiar with Materials Management system (MMS).Familiar with Inventory Management Software.Must have basic computer skills for the day-to-day operation.Must have a fair knowledge of various type of Engineering spare parts and their specifications
