The Assistant Team Leader plays a vital role in supporting both clinical excellence and team development. You will provide supervision to team members, support onboarding, monitor service documentation, and ensure alignment with treatment goals. Additionally, you'll assist in strengthening inter-agency relationships, reviewing outcome data, and stepping in as a backup leader when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide clinical guidance and coaching to direct reports to ensure quality, person-centered care
· Lead engaging onboarding experiences for new team members, promoting organizational values and culture
· Conduct regular supervision meetings and field observations to support professional development
· Monitor team performance with attention to efficiency, access, and outcomes
· Ensure high-quality clinical documentation aligned with individual treatment plans
· Communicate organizational goals and updates clearly to team members
· Promote a recovery-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally competent approach to care
· Participate in team meetings to review service plans, address non-responders, and plan discharges
· Serve in on-call rotation and provide crisis intervention as needed
· Support coordination across departments and external providers
· Provide backup leadership in the absence of Clinical Supervisor
· Assist with quality improvement efforts and documentation of service outcomes
· Attend agency trainings and contribute to organizational development initiatives
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field
· Three (3) years of experience in a social services setting
Additional Qualifications:
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and acceptable driving record required
· Access to a personal vehicle for business use
· Med Tech training, First Aid, and CPR required
· Strong knowledge of DSM, psychotropic medications, and substance use services
· Understanding of community-based mental health and rehabilitation services
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to mentor, support, and coach a diverse team
· Experience with supervision or training in a clinical setting preferred
Physical Requirements
· Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
· Frequent typing and/or writing using hands, fingers, and arms
· Mostly sedentary work, with occasional walking or standing
