Harry L. Jones GC is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team.  This position requires an eye for detail, team leadership skills, and a strong work ethic.  The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and is a full-time year-round position. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of golf course experience in a leadership role   Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent:

Daily job assignments and supervising a staff of 20 – 25 during the golf season.

Assists in planning and maintenance of all areas of the property.

Assists in training and the safe operation of all daily tasks and equipment.

Assists with chemical and fertilizer applications.

Oversee the maintenance and operation of the Rain Bird irrigation system. (Cirrus)

Assists with daily pool maintenance and record keeping.

Assists with snow removal and cross country trail maintenance during the winter months.

Minimum Qualifications for the Assistant Superintendent:  Bachelors degree, Associates degree or equivalent from a four or two year college; 3-4 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (degree preference in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science.

Other Qualifications:

2-year degree or certificate in turf grass management. (preferred)

2 years of golf course experience in a managerial role. (preferred)

Knowledge of the game of golf.
