Assistant Starbucks Manager
Position Summary

The Assistant Starbucks Manager supports the Starbucks Manager in leading daily operations of the Starbucks café to deliver an exceptional customer experience, consistent beverage quality, strong associate performance, and compliance with Starbucks and company standards. This role helps drive sales, manage operations, and develop associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities Support daily Starbucks café operations including beverage preparation, food handling, customer service, and cleanliness Assist in supervising, coaching, and training Starbucks associates to deliver consistent quality and service Ensure compliance with Starbucks operational standards, recipes, and brand guidelines Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health compliance at all times Support inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction efforts Execute promotional programs, seasonal launches, and merchandising standards Monitor café sales, labor utilization, and operational performance Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally Assume café leadership responsibilities in the Starbucks Manager’s absence Associate Leadership & Development Lead by example to promote teamwork, accountability, and a service‑focused culture Assist with onboarding and training of new Starbucks associates Provide coaching and feedback to reinforce performance and Starbucks standards Encourage associate engagement and continuous improvement Operational & Compliance Focus Ensure proper use and care of Starbucks equipment and café tools Follow all company policies, Starbucks standards, and local health regulations Complete required logs, temperature checks, cleanliness routines, and documentation accurately Qualifications Previous Starbucks, café, food service, or retail experience preferred Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and beverage preparation practices Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills Ability to lead in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment Physical & Scheduling Requirements Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the workday Ability to lift within company weight guidelines Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
