The Juniper Hotel in Cupertino, California, about 11 miles west of downtown San Jose, brings a modern boutique atmosphere to Silicon Valley.  The hotel is less than 20 minutes from Levi's Stadium and San Jose Airport. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following: 

A minimum of 3 years as a front of house server, bartender or lead. Ideally in an upscale, fast-paced restaurant 

Previous managerial or supervisory experience 

Strong beverage knowledge 

Proactive and hands-on approach 

Customer focused attitude 

Hotel experience strongly preferred 

Open availability including weekends and holidays 

 

Schedule: Varied to include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays 

Wage: $29.00 - $31.00 an hour

What will I be doing? 

 

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting management in the direction and administration of a restaurant in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

 

Supervise, support, schedule, assign daily work, inform and train team members in all restaurant activities and operations 

Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance 

Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints 

Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards 

Manage and monitor product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly 

Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control 

Be present to support FOH team and supervise service operations on dining room floor
