Job DescriptionProject Brief:
The project includes superstructure, ELS, site formation and civil drainage works.
Job Duties:
1. Perform statutory duties as T3 required by the RSE and RGE including those relating to Technical Competent Person requirement pursuant to the Supervision Plan of the Buildings Department.
2. Accountable and report to the AP/RSE/RGE under supervision of the RSE/RGE’s Representative.
3. Provide professional assistance to Resident Engineer/TCP T5 or design office as appropriate.
4. Carry out specific tasks as per requirement and checklist devised from RSE/RGE and representative of Client.
5. Check the works in compliance with the approved plans, the approved temporary works, method statements, precautionary and protective measures.
6. Monitor the work of the Registered Contractor’s TCPs.
7. Deal with non-conformities by making referral to the RSE/RGE’s representative and notify TCPs in other streams.
8. Assist to check the contractor’s structural works are in compliance with the statutory and contractual requirements.
9. Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy.
10. Implement and monitor the quality assurance system, site safety and environmental systems on site.
11. Attend Site Progress Meetings, QA/QC Meetings and any other necessary meetings.
12. Assist to prepare and submit bi-weekly site reports, QA/QC reports, inspection reports, defects reports, site records and other reports as necessary.
13. Maintain an effective, neat, orderly, and readily accessible filling system for all correspondence, site records and reports, contract documents, construction drawings and BD approved drawings.
14. Carry out additional duties as required by the RSE/RGE and/or RE(S&G).
15. Keep records of daily site inspection activities with details to the satisfaction of the RSE/RGE and/or RE(S&G).
Qualifications1. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience post Higher certificate or higher diploma in civil/structural/geotechnical engineering; or Minimum 2 years of relevant experience post Degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering;
2. Relevant experience with superstructure, civil drainage works, ELS, site formation. Building Works with significant geotechnical content would be an advantage;
3. Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
