Assistant Quality Manager
Job Title: Assistant Quality ManagerJob Description

As an Assistant Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. You will supervise a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Interns, and work closely with the Quality Manager to uphold and enhance our quality assurance systems.

ResponsibilitiesReview manufacturing instructions and procedures for completeness and accuracy.Audit processes performed by workers to ensure adherence to methods and tools.Determine frequency and allowable variations from specifications during manufacturing.Investigate and recommend alternatives to product designs or manufacturing methods.Create and manage a U.S. PPAP process/package.Develop and implement quality control plans and systems.Conduct inspections in accordance with the quality management system and control plans.Take corrective action when customer quality aims are not met.Execute product audits, internal system audits, and process audits.Administer and archive quality documents, samples, and measurement instruments.Report Quality data using Excel charts and PowerPoint presentations.Determine preventive measures to ensure quality with production, management, and project teams.Assist with IATF audits and participate in PFMEA reviews.Perform capability studies and interpret results.Complete PSW/AAR forms and coordinate with CMM operators.Understand and fulfill customer testing requirements.Initiate GR&R/MSA studies and analyze outcomes.Create work instructions and process flow diagrams for plastic processes.Collaborate with customer Quality Engineers to resolve issues.Interpret customer drawings and GD&T, and create GD&T schemes.Interface with gage builders to create and follow up on gage designs.Review parts to ensure they meet quality standards.Attend customer meetings for color and harmony discussions.Analyze quality control to detect production problems.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment as a Quality Engineer.Broad knowledge of quality systems including IATF, QMS, and Continuous Improvement.Understanding of MS Office Suite and MS Project.Strong problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPast experience with seating and process improvement is a plus.Management and safety skills.Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost optimization.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
