What You'll Do Key Responsibilities The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing mission‑critical electrical projects, including data center construction. With a strong sense of ownership and collaboration, the Assistant Project Manager helps drive project planning and scheduling, resource coordination, cost tracking, and documentation—bringing energy and attention to detail to every phase of the project lifecycle. Project Planning & Ingenuity + Assist in developing comprehensive project plans that define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines, applying ingenuity and critical thinking to support successful execution. + Partner with the Project Manager to identify and coordinate human and material resources, ensuring efficient utilization and alignment with project milestones. + Assign tasks, communicate expectations, and support team members to keep work progressing smoothly and on schedule. + Proactively monitor project risks, resolve issues, and adapt plans as needed—balancing flexibility, accountability, and sound judgment. Quality Control & Craftsmanship + Implement and support quality control procedures that ensure construction activities meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and excellence. + Monitor construction progress, participate in regular project status meetings, and help keep projects aligned with established schedules. + Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure project documents are complete, accurate, and well‑organized, reinforcing integrity and attention to detail throughout the project. Collaborative Leadership & Relationships + Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. + Proactively address client questions or concerns, provide responsive communication, and support a positive client experience from start to finish. + Contribute to a respectful, team‑oriented work environment and actively support the company’s culture of safety and collaboration. Safety Leadership + Support and promote a strong safety‑first mindset across all project activities. + Encourage adherence to safety policies, procedures, and best practices, helping ensure work is performed safely and responsibly. Industry Engagement & Integrity + Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company with professionalism, ethical conduct, and pride in our work. + Demonstrate integrity and transparency in all interactions with internal teams and external partners. Change Management + Support the change management process by maintaining change order logs and assisting with scope, schedule, and cost impact analysis. + Coordinate change documentation between field and office teams and help ensure all stakeholders remain informed and aligned. What You'll Bring Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Strong ability to perform due diligence and risk assessment in support of project decision‑making. + Demonstrated integrity and ethical judgment when working with clients, partners, and internal teams. + Working knowledge of building construction methods, materials, systems, and trade practices; familiarity with mission‑critical infrastructure (power distribution, redundancy systems, cooling infrastructure) is a plus. + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to audiences with varying levels of experience. + Willingness to travel frequently to construction sites to stay connected and engaged with project teams. Demonstrated Accomplishments + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, and Accubid. + Proven ability to support projects through completion while maintaining schedule, budget awareness, and quality expectations. + Solid understanding of electrical construction in large‑scale commercial or mission‑critical environments. + Experience building productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to stay informed of market and project conditions. + Strong understanding of safety standards and best practices within electrical construction. Education & Experience + Demonstrated experience supporting industrial and/or commercial electrical construction projects; experience with mission-critical or data center projects is strongly preferred. + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of relevant education, training, and applied experience will be considered. What You'll Get Working Conditions : The majority of the time you will work on construction job sites. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day. Benefits Overview: IME provides an industry-leading comprehensive benefits package.
