Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a large, long-term project at Howard Hospital in Washington, DC. This role requires an individual to support project managers on-site, providing document support, scheduling, and managing subcontractor selection and progress meetings. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with a general contractor in a project support capacity and ideally possess healthcare project experience.
ResponsibilitiesSupport project managers with document management, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.Assist the Project Manager with various projects for private, federal, and local government clients, focusing on interior contracts up to $1.8M.Create and manage submittal logs, transmittals, change orders, and project directories to guide project direction.Manage various contracts and vendor relationships.Collaborate with superintendents to obtain field information.Apply innovative and effective management techniques to enhance performance.Potentially handle financial aspects of projects.Manage multiple tasks and perform any related duties as required or assigned.Additional responsibilities may arise based on business and client needs.Essential SkillsStrong experience with high-profile customer and project engagement.Proficiency in document management and paperwork support, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with schedule management and construction management software.Additional Skills & QualificationsProject management and construction management expertise.Proficiency in change order management and RFIs.Experience in project engineering and commercial construction.Work Environment
The position will be based on-site at Howard Hospital, engaging in a multi-year project with support from a large team. The work involves collaboration with various stakeholders and requires adaptability to innovative project management techniques.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
