Assistant Project Manager
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Assistant Project Manager to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager with a strong emphasis on logistics coordination to support the successful execution of projects from initiation to completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at managing timelines and resources, and has a passion for optimizing supply chain and logistics operations. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Support the Project Manager in tracking project milestones, deliverables, and budgets. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Maintain accurate documentation including shipping records, delivery schedules, and inventory logs. Help manage risk by identifying potential delays or issues in the supply chain and proposing solutions. Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, operations, finance) to align logistics with project goals. Prepare status reports and assist in client communications regarding logistics and scheduling. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards throughout the logistics process. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field or high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of relevant logistics project management and planning experience. Experience working with UT systems (preferred) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, Adobe, and Docusign. Ability to interpret policies and implement procedures effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor and commitment to customer service. Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail. Experience working in defense or semiconductor industry
