About this Role

The Assistant Project Manager/Engineer supports the Project Manager in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of a project, such as project planning and scheduling, monitoring project progress, communicating with stakeholders, coordinating with team members and subcontractors, tracking project expenses, and ensuring that the project stays on track and within budget. The assistant project manager/engineer may also be responsible for preparing reports and assisting in resolving any project-related issues that arise during the course of the project. Ultimately, the Assistant Project Manager/engineer plays a key role in helping to ensure that the project is completed successfully and meets its objectives.

 

Location: This role will support project operations in Wink, TX with long term opportunities post project completion

What You'll Do Assist in estimating project scope and costsManage project expectations and execution of subcontractorsMaintaining project documentationTracking project expenses and budgetPreparing reportsCommunicate with clients and subcontractorsAttend and actively participate in project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required.Research and preparation of change requests to resolve design issues for approvalResearch and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissionsMonitor field work and/or contract work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codesAssist with the submittal and RFI processesAssist in the early completion and tracking of billing What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering)2-5 years of direct experienceAble to work independently as well as in a team environmentStrong computer skills and quick to learn new systemsCommitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skillsEffective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on timeTactful conflict resolution and problem solving abilitiesBachelor’s degree in a related field (Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, etc.), paired with industry experienceA good understanding of how to read drawings and specificationsFamiliar with computer-based estimatingKnowledge of billing and collections What You'll Get
