Otis Canada, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the delivery of Infrastructure projects. This role is critical in managing documentation, assisting with project controls, supporting construction readiness, and ensuring smooth handover of elevators and escalators across multiple stations.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, supervisor, suppliers, and internal teams to track documentation, coordinate meetings, maintain project logs, and prepare required submittals throughout the full lifecycle of the project.


This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented individual who thrives in a fast‑paced project environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Prepare accurate, detailed minutes from technical progress meetings.

Track and manage technical drawings on A‑site—including review of markups, consolidation of revisions, and preparation of document packages for engineering and PM review.

Participate in weekly PM / Coordinator technical alignment meetings to confirm progress against engineering actions, document control tasks, and deliverables.

Manage formal billing cycles—ensuring alignment with project progress and technical deliverables.

Conduct technical verification of supplier billing ensuring accuracy of scope, quantities, and deliverables.

Maintain the change order log, with a strong emphasis on tracking scope impacts, access-related changes, and technical variations.

Upload and prepare engineering drawings on A‑site, including removal of non‑project‑specific notes (code references, outdated standards, etc.).

Maintain and update the Health & Safety Plan, producing technical site‑specific packages for each station.

Oversee technical compliance documentation, including PTS training, site‑specific safety requirements, and other regulated materials.

Maintain Environmental Product Declarations, ensuring all materials meet project standards.

Responsible for coordinating and delivering the full suite of ITP (Inspection & Test Plan) documentation

Additional technical site duties include:

Management and submission of quality documentation

Prepare comprehensive O&M manuals, as‑built drawings, and technical closeout documentation.

Track, document, and close technical deficiencies, including photo evidence, inspection reports, and field verification.

Manage spare parts collation, ensuring accuracy of part lists, technical specifications, and delivery requirements.

Education / Certifications

Bachelor's degree required

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative support experience

Minimum of 1-2 years related project management and/or construction or manufacturing experience, preferred

Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers

Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities

Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

Industry experience preferred

Familiarity with TSSA requirements, safety documentation, and regulated technical environments.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and consolidate technical markups

Proven experience managing engineering drawings, technical submittals, or regulatory documentation.
