What will you do?
Develop, maintain, and update client-specific databases while strictly monitoring their quality.Lead the development and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and facility manuals.Provide health and safety training, ensuring compliance with all regulations.Collaborate exceptionally with clients to ensure seamless communication regarding operations.Assist with report production, facility upkeep, and overall operations.Apply good manufacturing principles in all areas of responsibility.Verify samples and documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity of the inventory and shipments.Communicate with clients and the Project Director about discrepancies, coordinating reconciliation.Open, track, and contribute to quality records such as deviations, client complaints, and change controls.Implement and integrate new IT initiatives to improve efficiency.Ensure all operational materials, supplies, and needs are scheduled or ordered.Prepare monthly/periodic reports for the Project Director and clients.Direct your own projects and identify and lead process improvement initiatives.Travel to other local facilities as required to meet business needs.Assist the Project Director in managing staff, with some team members directly reporting to this position.How will you get here?
Excellent organizational skills with a proven understanding of project management.Ability to prioritize workload for speed and efficiency.Proficiency in balancing multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Expertise in Microsoft suite applications, including Excel.Experience with inventory management systems.Training in the handling and shipping of hazardous materials.Knowledge of QA/QC monitoring and auditing procedures.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a biological field; advanced degree preferred.2+ years of project management experience in a related field.Prefer previous successful supervisory experience (direct or indirect).IATA/ DOT certification, preferred.Work Schedule:8:00AM to 5:00PM core hours, additional hours as required.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:Ability to work in a cold environment with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents, and marked changes in temperature.Must use personal protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to handle materials on dry ice (-78°C) or liquid nitrogen (-196°C).Work in walk-in freezers or refrigerators periodically.Use a computer up to 8 hours per day.Work in a laboratory and warehouse/repository environment.Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $103,000.00–$155,300.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
