What this job involves:
This role serves as a critical leadership position within Amazon's Meetings & Events program, providing functional supervision and coordination for complex event delivery operations. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage high-profile special events, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure exceptional client experiences. The position directly contributes to JLL's business objectives by delivering world-class event services to one of our premier global clients while establishing operational excellence standards. What your day-to-day will look like:
Supervise and schedule Events team members while providing functional oversight of event support staff, setup crews, and third-party vendorsCoordinate and execute high-level special events as requested by Amazon Event Organizers, leading site visits, planning meetings, and final detail sessionsEstablish new policies and procedures to clearly define high-level event support in high-profile areas while providing clarity to existing operational guidelinesTrack team progress through data metrics and create monthly reports for the Program Delivery Manager demonstrating team performance and workload analysisMaintain ethical, professional relationships with contractors, employees, and property management teams while ensuring prompt responses to client requestsPrepare proposals, presentations, and budget information while composing business correspondence using proper professional standardsDemonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, service levels, and streamline work processes while identifying communication and efficiency opportunities.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum 3 years of event management or relevant hospitality experience with demonstrated leadership capabilitiesAdvanced competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other event management software programsProven ability to supervise teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environmentsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar and proofreading abilitiesExperience with budget management, proposal preparation, and business metrics compilationFlexibility to work nights, evenings, and weekends as required by event schedules.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with Amazon or other large technology companies in event management rolesKnowledge of high-profile corporate event coordination and venue managementExperience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and third-party coordinationBackground in developing policies, procedures, and operational improvement initiativesFamiliarity with data analytics and performance metrics reporting for event programsUnderstanding of emergency procedures and safety protocols in corporate environmentsExperience with client relationship management and stakeholder communication at senior levels.Location: Onsite
