Essential functions (job duties):
WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL seeks to hire an Assistant Professor of Teaching to begin in Winter 2026. We encourage applications from outstanding teachers whose experiences and perspectives will enrich our community.
The Assistant Professor (Teaching) would serve as an instructor primarily in courses in the Health Law and/or Corporate Compliance concentrations within our Master of Studies in Law program, taught online to mid-career professionals, and potentially also in the Minor in Law and B.A. in Law, taught to undergraduates. Other teaching opportunities may arise in the Law School’s JD curriculum as needed. This is a represented, renewable contract position with substantial faculty voting rights.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a JD from an accredited American law school and have practice experience in the areas of healthcare or corporate law. Prior teaching experience is also a plus.
