Position Information **Proposed Faculty Rank** Assistant Professor (Lecturer) **Department** 00143 - Psychology Department **City** Salt Lake City, UT **Track** Non Tenure Track **New Position to Begin** 07/01/2026 **Details** **Assistant Professor Rank Career Line Clinical Psychologist.** The Department of Psychology at the University of Utah invites applications for a full-time career line (non-tenure) faculty position at the Assistant level in our Clinical Science program. We are seeking applicants with a clinical science orientation who have strong interests in program development, administration, and evaluation. Qualified candidates will have interest in undergraduate and graduate (PhD and Masters) level teaching in clinically focused courses (e.g., introduction to clinical science and practice, psychopathology, courses focused on training students in evidence-based treatments and skills). Experience in teaching in or directing Masters level psychology graduate programs, experience in providing clinical supervision, and being license eligible in the state of Utah are highly preferred. We are interested in all qualified candidates, with special consideration for applicants that can contribute to one of our areas of specialty training (clinical child and family, clinical neuropsychology, clinical health psychology, and general psychopathology). A member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science and continuously accredited by APA since 1954, our Clinical Science program has a history of generative collaborations within our areas of specialization (clinical neuropsychology, clinical child and family, clinical health psychology, and general psychopathology); as well as with the Psychology Department’s other graduate training programs (Cognition and Neural Sciences, Developmental, Social, and Quantitative); additional departments and colleges across campus (e.g., Educational Psychology, Ethnic Studies, Family and Consumer Studies, Gender Studies, Psychiatry, Social Work, Sociology); and transformational centers of excellence such as the Consortium for Families and Health Research (C- FAHR ).
