Assistant Professor - Clinical Educator, Department of Surgery Wayne State University is searching for an experiencedAssistant Professor - Clinical Educator, Department of Surgeryat its Detroit campus location. Essential functions (job duties): + This individual will have specialized training in craniomaxillofacial, cleft palate surgery in children and adults – part of succession plan for one of the senior surgeons in the department. + They would be the one to step in to be Program Director if the DMC decided to reopen a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency/Fellowship Program. + The faculty member would be part of the teaching faculty for our general surgery residents and WSU III and WSU IV medical students. + The faculty member would serve on a variety of resident and student committees. + Experience in research is a plus- to conduct research with students, residents, and fellows. + Participate in the teaching programs of the Department of Surgery that will include medical students, residents and fellows. + Participate in scholarly activities that will include research opportunities. + Participate in administrative and committee activities within the Department of Surgery.
