Minimum Qualifications Applicant shall hold Doctorate in discipline or close equivalent; master's with extensive business experience (preferably 30 years or more) to be considered. Preference given to applicants with extensive knowledge of financial management or other accounting and financial related topics and demonstrated knowledge of teaching in higher education. Applicants should have a commitment to engaging our stakeholders in the economic development of our region as well as the promotion of entrepreneurship in our region. Applicants must be legally authorized to work at Northwestern State University. Job Duties and Other Information Duties include: (I) teach 3 to 6 credit hours of undergraduate business (preference for finance or accounting) related courses each semester; (2) teach in an area of expertise using the latest technology and computer applications in business (preference for financial management); (3) assist with and conduct special seminars, workshops, or symposiums on business (preference for accounting or finance) related topics; (4) maintain office hours and advise/counsel students; (5) participate in services activities within the School, College, and University, if applicable; ( 6) assist with fundraising endeavors; (7) work collaboratively with faculty in program and course development; (8) participate in private sector consulting and offer assistance to corporations, small businesses, and individuals who need help in their business operations; (9) continue creative and scholarly endeavors and collaborations with the faculty; and (10) perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the School of Business/Dean of the College of Business and Technology Benefits for unclassified employees are determined by the individual hiring authority.
