Summary of Responsibilities:

The Assistant Product Merchandiser supports the merchandising team in managing product development, order tracking, and supplier communication. This role helps ensure product details are accurate and up to date, assists with sample management, and coordinates with cross-functional teams to keep timelines on track. The Assistant Product Merchandiser also helps analyze sales trends, prepare reports, and support line presentations, contributing to the smooth execution of seasonal assortments and overall merchandising strategies.

Key Projects:

Maintain accurate product details, specifications, and pricing in systems like Teams, Monday.com, Apprise and BeProduct (or other PLM/ERP tools).Track, organize, and distribute samples for development, sales, and marketing needs.Assist in communicating with suppliers and factories to follow up on timelines, product details, and order status.Monitor production and delivery schedules, ensuring orders stay on track and escalating delays as needed.Assist with research on competitor products, consumer trends, and pricing analysis.Help prepare product assortments, line sheets, and presentation materials for seasonal reviews.Collaborate with design, sales, marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth product launches and updates.Compile sales reports, performance recaps, and other data to support merchandising decisions.Help track feedback on samples from 1st proto to production to ensure we are meeting all product quality standardsManage filing, sample libraries, meeting prep, and other tasks to support the merchandising team.Engage in product lifecycle management exercises Assist in developing design concepts, packaging and visual materialsSupport new product development launch plans and marketing campaignsSupport trade shows and customer event planning 

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Design, Fashion, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).1–2 years of experience in merchandising, product development, or a related field preferred (internships count).Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and external suppliersDetail-oriented with excellent accuracy in handling product data, timelines and documentation.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage physical samples, multiple projects and deadlines.Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and problem-solve proactively.Interest in retail, consumer products, design, or fashion industry is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams); experience with ERP/PLM systems (e.g., Apprise, Monday.com, BeProduct) a plus.

Pay Range:

49,600.00 - 74,400.00
