Master’s degree California administrative credential Successful teaching experience required Experience in curriculum writing/development and implementation Experience and understanding of administrative functions and procedures Has knowledge of local policies, state and federal laws relating to minors. Ability to work effectively with administrators, staff, parents, and the community Ability to implement collective bargaining agreements


 Essential Functions: 

Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school and assumes leadership of the school in the absence of the principal. Relates to students with mutual respect while carrying out a positive and effective disciplinary policy. Assists in the state and District testing program. Consults with staff members regarding student and staff needs. Creates a climate in which the students have a healthy attitude toward themselves, each other, and the school. Coordinates out-of-class supervision for the following:  times before school, recesses, noon, and dismissal times, areas surrounding bus loading and unloading zones, school grounds in general, playgrounds, streets adjoining school grounds, restrooms, halls, and cafeteria. Coordinates an accurate and comprehensive recordkeeping procedure for pupils, including cumulative folders, attendance, counseling, and guidance. Assists in setting up school assemblies, activities designed to improve student attendance at school and/or prevent or solve student problems involving the home, the school, and community. Assists in supply acquisition and distribution, and inventory of furniture, supplies, and equipment. Acts as consultant and supervisor in curriculum development and implementation, including data analysis materials provided for PLC meetings, serving as a member of the site leadership team, and assists teachers with the Multi-Tiered System of Support. Serves on educational committees with students, parents, and/or staff, such as School Site Council, in order to continually improve learning experiences for students and enhance home/school communication. Assists the Principal in the supervision of certificated and classified staff. Evaluates certificated and classified employee performance. Researches alternative methods of scheduling classes and implements procedures which facilitate the achievement of program goals. Develops plans for emergency situations in cooperation with staff and public safety agencies. Identifies safety needs on campus and makes recommendations to remedy any unsafe conditions observed. Takes administrative responsibility for the student activity program. Communicates effectively with the business and residential communities and participates in civic activities. Maintains a commitment to ongoing growth in self and others, supporting and participating in District and site professional growth programs. Acts as facilitator of Student Study Team meetings, documents recommendations, provides support to teachers for meeting recommendations, and follows up to ensure recommendations are implemented. Acts as facilitator of Individual Education Plan meetings to ensure that all laws and regulations are followed. Acts as a facilitator of ELAC meetings and encourages parental involvement. Provides parent education opportunities. Provides social work services, such as diagnosing problems of pupils arising out of the home, school, or community and referring to appropriate services for child, parent, or both. Seeks input/guidance from School Site Principal in carrying out District policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.
