Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and passionate Assistant Pastry Chef to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Assistant Pastry Chef, you will work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to create delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and showcase your creativity and skill.
Assist the Head Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goodsFollow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency and qualityContribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items and seasonal specialsEnsure proper food handling, storage, and safety practices are followed at all timesMaintain a clean and organized work environmentCollaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of dessertsAssist in inventory management and ordering of pastry suppliesTrain and mentor junior pastry staff membersAdapt to the fast-paced environment of Dubai's competitive culinary sceneQualificationsMinimum 2-3 years of experience as a pastry chef in a professional kitchen or bakeryCulinary degree or diploma in Pastry Arts preferredStrong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and baking skillsCreativity and ability to develop new dessert recipesProficiency in using various pastry equipment and toolsExcellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practicesExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityFlexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidaysAbility to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
