As an Assistant Nurse Manager in Endoscopy, you will monitor the daily operations of the department and provide professional and compassionate support to patients. You will oversee RNs, LPNs, MAs and other care providers to ensure that the best Cleveland Clinic experience possible. It provides broad skills and educational development, serving as a strong steppingstone into higher-level leadership roles. **A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with weekend requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts and coordinate patient admitting, discharges, transfers and other operational issues. + Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers. + Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of nurses and other direct and indirect patient care providers on assigned unit/area. + Counsel employees on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and collaborate in monitoring attendance issues. + Alert Nurse Manager of significant clinical or other performance issues. + Participate in interviewing, selecting and appraising the performance of employees. + Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines. + Administer Nursing Institute, departmental and CC policies and procedures. + Supervise and participate in the daily delivery of patient care on assigned unit/area. + Prepares schedule of work assignment assuring adequate coverage on all shifts. + Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes studies, research initiatives and department/committees as assigned. + Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing + Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) + Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Two years of endoscopy experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Previous supervisory experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
