About the Role:

Working hours are 11pm - 7am, 5 days out of 7 - 39 hours contract We are looking for someone who is at the moment working as an Assistant Night Manager, Night Auditor or Receptionist Supervisor and would like to take their career to the next level. An Assistant Night Manager assists in the night-hour supervision of the Front Office Team to ensure Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver Guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out.  

What will I be doing?

Oversee Front Office operation to maintain high standardsAssist the Front Office Manager to evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvementServe as a point of contact for regular and important GuestsComplete Night Audit dutiesMaximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilitiesUnderstand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policyRepresent the Night Manger and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotelAct in accordance with all security and emergency procedures and manage the instigation of these, as requiredCompile adequate handover to Early staff / Duty ManagerAttend appropriate training courses, when required, and assist with the Night Team's training and development effortsDemonstrate current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local areaAct in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systemsConduct Health and Safety Checks and Night WalksMaintain a good status awareness of all hotel areasAssist Night Porter with daily duties 

What are we looking for?

At least 1+ year experience in Front Office, preferably within the hotel, leisure or retail sector

Competent level of IT proficiencyExcellent leadership and management skillsCommitment to delivering a high level of customer serviceExcellent grooming standardsPositive attitude and good communication skillsAbility to work on your own and as part of a team
