Job Description

We are seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent to join our team at a Data Center construction site. The role involves acting as a liaison between the client, the general contractor, and subcontractors, necessitating excellent communication skills. A solid understanding of electrical systems is crucial, ideally stemming from experience as an electrician or a similar role.

Responsibilities

Fully understand MEP specifications and details.Conduct daily site walks to ensure specifications and drawings are adhered to.Compile weekly inspection reports with photos, tracking the critical path.Manage the equipment tracking log, from procurement to turnover, and update ship dates while tracking schedule delays.Collaborate with general contractor staff to maintain the project schedule and delivery date.Coordinate with MEP subcontractors to ensure Level 2-5 documentation is completed and ready for commissioning and customer acceptance.Track changes to the critical path and ensure they are reflected on as-built drawings.Assist with the startup and commissioning process and documentation for MEP equipment.Support the startup and commissioning schedule with the Commissioning Agent (CxA) and general contractor.

Essential Skills

Understanding of electrical systems.Field experience in construction.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel).Experience in construction management and supervision.Commercial construction expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in a similar role.Knowledge in electrical construction.Data Center experience preferred.

Work Environment

The position is based onsite at a data center in Minneapolis. This is a 6-month plus contract-to-hire opportunity, with potential for extension. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, six paid holidays, and one week of PTO, with the possibility to qualify for additional PTO if the contract is extended.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
