Role & responsibilities:
Work as part of the valuation advisory team handling assignments related to business valuation, equity valuation, purchase price allocation (PPA), impairment testing, financial instrument valuation, FEMA valuations, and private equity valuations. Perform financial analysis, valuation modeling, comparable company analysis, transaction benchmarking, and industry research across multiple sectors. Understand client businesses, market dynamics, growth drivers, profitability metrics, and industry trends to support valuation engagements. Use databases like CapitalIQ, Thomson Reuters, EMIS, RoyaltyStats, and Venture Intelligence for research and analysis. Prepare valuation reports, client presentations, financial models, and engagement deliverables aligned with project requirements. Support regulatory and compliance-related valuation assignments under FEMA, RBI, Companies Act, and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). Participate in proposal writing, pitch documents, credentials compilation, and other business development activities. Collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Candidate requirements:
4–8 years of experience in valuation advisory, transaction advisory, corporate finance, investment banking, or deals consulting. Strong hands-on expertise in financial modeling, DCF valuation, comparable company analysis, transaction multiples, and valuation methodologies. Good understanding of Indian valuation regulations including FEMA, Companies Act, RBI guidelines, and Ind AS standards. Experience working on valuation assignments such as PPA, impairment testing, equity valuation, and financial reporting valuation. Strong analytical, research, report writing, and presentation skills. Exposure to tools/databases like CapitalIQ, Thomson Reuters, PitchBook, EMIS, or similar platforms. Ability to independently manage deliverables, interact with clients, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred qualifications - CA, CFA, MBA Finance, or equivalent finance background.Selection Process:
