Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager for our MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) & Event department in Watthana, Thailand. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage and execute a wide range of events while supporting the growth of our MICE business.
Assist in planning, organizing, and executing various MICE events and corporate functionsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholdersManage event budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful outcomesSupervise and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environmentConduct site inspections and negotiate contracts with venues and suppliersCreate detailed event proposals, presentations, and post-event reportsImplement innovative strategies to enhance event experiences and drive customer satisfactionStay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into event planning and executionEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all eventsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve overall business objectivesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field3-5 years of experience in MICE and event management, with a proven track record of successful event executionExperience in a supervisory or management role within the events industryStrong knowledge of the MICE industry, including current trends and best practicesExcellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneouslyProficiency in budget management and financial planning for eventsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholdersDemonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challengesTeam leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide junior staff membersProficiency in event management software and toolsFamiliarity with Watthana, Thailand, and the local event landscapeProfessional certifications in event management (e.g., CMP, CSEP) are preferredFlexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for event execution
