Ø Purpose of Position

The job incumbent is responsible for performing QAQC inspections, audits, supervision as per QAP, approved procedure, standards, etc.,  Should carries out some tasks independently, with minimum supervision, and these may be on well identified or isolated assets. Major Responsibilities

Material inspection Scope

Carrying out material inspection with respect to approved TDS, Drawings, test certificates etc. Familiar with NCR. Various scenarios for raising NCR. Perform factory inspections if required

 

2. Work inspection Scope

Conduct inspections for ongoing and completed MEP works based on WIR (Work Inspection Request). Perform physical verification from construction to Handing Over . Ensure all works adhere to: Contract conditions  Approved Work method statements According to the Approved shop Drawings Relevant norms and regulations Recording observations and sharing with PMC on weekly basis. Follow up with PMC for closing the defects

Electrical Services: -

Should be familiar with power distribution systems, ie; HT to LT distribution which includes RMU, Transformers, DG sets, UPS,switchgears, panel boards and downstream electrical networks. Familiar with lightning protection systems. Strong understanding with specifications of equipment and materials used in electrical services such as HT Panel, Transformer, DG sets,UPS, LT switch boards, ACBs, MCCBs, protective devices, Distribution boards, wiring accessories, earthing etc.  Knowledge of Electrical Load calculations Basic understanding of Testing & Commissioning activities related to Electrical services. Familiar with Electrical codes and standards related to HT/LT power systems such as IS, IEC etc. Familiar with NBC.

 

HVAC Services: -

Strong understanding with specifications of equipment and materials used in HVAC services such as Chiller, Cooling Tower, Primary Pumps, Secondary pumps, Chilled water piping systems and accessories such as valves, strainers , Insulating materials, VFDs, Heat recovery wheels, AHUs ,VRV systems, Hi wall units, Cassette units etc.  Basic understanding of Testing & Commissioning activities such as hydraulic pressure test, water balancing, duct test, Air balancing, testing of refrigeration pipes etc. Familiar with ASHRAE, SMACNA standards

Fire Protection Services: -

Strong understanding with specifications of equipment and materials used in Fire Protection services such as Main hydrant Pump, Sprinkler pumps,Jockey pumps,Diesel driven pumps,  Piping systems, Valves, strainers ,Flow switch ,Inspector test connection  etc.  Requirements of Fire pumps, Overhead tanks, Underground tanks and other fire related systems according to the height of the building as per NBC. Basic understanding on Testing such as hydraulic pressure test. Familiar with NBC 2016 & NFPA 13 standards related to business buildings(IT Campus/Office)

ELV systems: -

Strong understanding with specifications of equipment and materials used in Fire alarm services such as FA Panel, detectors and devices, Public address system etc.  Also, knowledge related to CCTV network cabling etc. Basic understanding on Testing and commissioning works. Familiar with IS, NBC & NFPA 72 standards

Plumbing Services: -

Should be familiar with water supply and distribution, sanitary drainage, storm drainage, Hot water systems etc. Strong understanding with specifications of equipment and materials used in Plumbing services such as Pumps, Piping systems, Valves, strainers, water hammer arrestors, P traps, clean outs etc.  Familiar with Gravity systems and Hydro pneumatic systems Basic understanding of WTPs and different technologies of STPs . Basic understanding on Testing methodologies such as pressure tests ,slope tests etc. Familiar with Uniform Plumbing Code.

Ø Roles & Responsibilities for HSE

Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.                                                                                         To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.      Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his/her immediate Line Managers. Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs) On-time delivery of Reports Client relationship – Retention and Growth. Compliance of internal and external guidelines, policies, procedures. Internal and external customer service satisfaction (e.g. number of complaints) To adhere Group HSE Guidelines. Qualification and Experience

General:

Graduate Engineer BE/ B.Tech (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Communication) with min. 12 years of relevant experience.

Technical:

 Knowledge of QA/QC, NDT tests and material test will be preferred.   Skills & Qualities: Good communication skills verbal, writing and presentation. Ability to comprehend technical issues quickly. Ability to work in a team.
