In this role , you will establish, monitor ,control and optimize the chemical processes which include Electro chemical part marking , Acid alkali cleaning of stainless steel, Inconel, titanium hardware , Dry film lube coating , pre penetrant etching , ultrasonic cleaning and cleanliness verification , solvent cleaning of sheet metal and tubular products ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality while driving operational efficiency

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Role Overview:

Daily  monitoring of chemical  process operations and documentation, equipment , instruments , maintenance and checks of the electroforming processEnsure that the documented work instructions and the router requirements are implemented  as per operation sequenceRoot cause analysis for the process defects and implementation of the corrective actionsQualification and Training of operators on the special processes and related equipmentCoordination with Quality team for the calibration of instrumentation of process equipment and ensuring  process and quality   compliancePreparation of Standard work , EHSRA , Heat Map and SOD and periodic reviewPreparation of PFMEA and  periodic reviewControl of consumables and Implementing ideas for cost reductionGenerate and implement Productivity improvement ideasEnsure compliance to customer specifications - requirements and NADCAP special process requirements.

Experience and Technical skills  :

a) Strong , in depth understanding of chemical processes and material properties related to chemical processes

Hands on experience in the  processes including  electrochemical part marking ,dry film lube coating , etching , cleaning and cleanliness verification

b) Ability to set up and the chemical process associated equipment

c) Knowledge of chemicals, properties  , ability of safe handling chemicals, proper surface preparation , cleaning techniques like polishing , buffing ,cleaning

d) Familiarity with different cleaning solutions , quality control methods , solution control and analysis , monitoring of solution concentrations and ensuring consistency,

e)Chemical compositions of the cleaning  baths , pH levels , additives and  , ability to use the instruments techniques, methods for the verification of cleaning

f) Proven ability for problem solving – diagnosing the issues with chemical processes  quality trouble shooting of common issues ,problems and corrective action implementation .

g)Understanding of the hazards associated with the  process , chemicals , handling of the chemicals and handling procedures , awareness of environmental regulations , waste water treatment , disposal of associated hazardous wastes.

h)Experience in preparation for  NADCAP audits for the chemical processes

i) Training and mentoring of the shop floor team members  for the safety and quality best practices

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a Mechanical/Production Engineer with 4-7 years of aerospace industry experience, specializing in chemical processes for engine hardware, NADCAP audits, and automated systems, with strong safety, quality, and troubleshooting skills.

Required Qualification :

* B.E./ B Tech in Mechanical engineering / production with 4 to 7 years of experience.

*Preferably from Aerospace Industry

Preferred Qualification :

*Experience in  aerospace chemical processes specific to engine hardware  

*Familiarity with automated process  systems

*Experience in handling NADCAP audits

*Attention to detail and commitment to maintain high quality of safety and quality standards

*Strong  written and verbal communication and leadership skills

*Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment

* Proactive problem solving approach and continuous improvement mindset

*Ability to guide and  lead team of engineers working for the process
