We are on the lookout for a Full Time Assistant Manager to join our In Room Dining Department.
As Australia’s largest premium hotel, the hotel boasts 878 guestrooms, multiple dining experiences and event spaces. The Role:
In Room Dining is an integral function of our hotel operation, with primary responsibility for delivering and presenting guest food and beverage orders in a timely and professional manner.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, our new Assistant Manager will be accountable for overseeing the operation of restaurant service and ensuring all elements are executed smoothly and seamlessly. This will be achieved with day-to-day supervision of associates and supporting their training and development, as well as striving to exceed guest expectations and delivering exceptional experiences. You will actively contribute to the process of driving the business and achieving key departmental KPI targets.
Responsibilities Include:
The day-to-day leadership, supervision and management of associates
Co-ordination of all aspects of the departments operation to ensure a seamless flow from beginning to end
Manage the initial and ongoing training and development of all team members.
Ensuring all Hotel and HACCP policies procedures are followed
Implementing measures to maximise profitability and minimalise costs
Regulated stock-take check, inventory control and oversight of equipment maintenance and cleanliness of the outlet
Liaising and fostering collaborative working relationships with key departments across the Hotel
Handling client queries and complaints with professionalism, concern and understanding
Our Ideal Candidate will possess:
Management experience in in a large hotel/venue – In Room Dining background highly advantageous
Passionate and focused on delivering excellent service
Hands on leadership style, with ability to support and motivate team
Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards and hospitality best practices.
The ability to thrive in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
Highly organised, with capacity to multitask prioritise tasks on the fly
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A valid NSW RSA
Unrestricted, valid Australian working rights, with the availability to work a rotating roster including weekends
