Assistant Manager - HR
Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant Manager - HR to oversee human resource functions. This role will be pivotal in managing workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, and HR operations for a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and have a solid understanding of labour regulations, warehouse dynamics, and workforce management.

Key Responsibilities:\nLead recruitment strategies for warehouse staff and logistics personnel.\nPartner with operations managers to forecast staffing needs.\nManage onboarding and orientation for new hires.\n\n\nAddress employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair, consistent manner.\nFoster a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.\nSupport initiatives that improve employee morale and retention.\n\n\nEnsure compliance with labour laws, safety standards, and company policies.\nMaintain employee records and documentation.\nConduct investigations and disciplinary procedures when necessary.\n\n\nOversee timekeeping, attendance, and payroll coordination.\nTrack HR metrics (e.g. turnover, absenteeism) and report trends.\nRecommend process improvements and automation where possible.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification is a plus)\n5+ years of HR experience, preferably in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing.\nStrong understanding of labour laws and HR best practices.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nProficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office tools.\n
