Assistant Manager Global Distribution Excellence - Temporary 12 months (m/f/d)

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION


Assist and support the Global Distribution Excellence Standards senior managers with planning, executing and tracking projects or enhancements within the respective function. Shape and improve frameworks, tools, and processes that enable market and local teams to continuously enhance the adidas distribution network, including DC operations, outbound transportation, SCM channel excellence, and the integration of sustainability requirements. Responsibilities include contributing to strategic improvement initiatives, driving the evolution of frameworks, and ensuring effective adoption in line with global and market strategies.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enhance Global Frameworks: Continuously improve the excellence framework toolkit (playbooks, standards, SOPs, policies, sharing platforms, forms, BI dashboards, etc.) by implementing new enhancement features, or adjustments based on feedback from the DC operations teams and audits. Enable Adoption & Training: Develop framework content training materials to increase awareness, maturity and adoption. Upskill the community to use tools more effectively. Ensure Knowledge Continuity: Maintain and manage documentation of tools, processes or platforms workflows and logic to ensure continuity and effective knowledge transfer. Data & Reporting Excellence: Support reporting oversight and the processing  of data from multiple sources, ensuring queries, formulas, and data models operate smoothly. Participate in Development & Rollouts: Actively participate in all processes and tools creation, testing and roll outs. Community Engagement: Support the facilitation of community calls, including helping with scheduling, technical setup, sharing materials, taking notes, and supporting participant engagement. Sustainability Integration: Support the internalization of sustainability requirements in distribution (e.g. decarbonization in DC operations and outbound transport).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Very good communication skills, to collaborate effectively with global and market teams, especially when interacting with different levels of business. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Proficiency in MS Excel (intermediate to advanced level, including formulas, statistics, and charts). Quick learner, proactive. Strong MS-Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Good numerical and analytical skills. Fluent English (verbal and written).

 


REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Four-year college or university degree with focus on Supply Chain, Business Administration, IT, Operational excellence, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1-2 years of progressive work experience in supply chain, operational excellence or project management.
