**Job Description – EPD** _Function: EHS_ _DATE : 20th Jan 2025_ **Job Title: Assistant Manager EHS** **Location:** MUMBAI I&D MDC **Job category:** Full time **Division:** Established Pharmaceuticals **Reporting to:** Nitin Chaudhari **Cost** **Center Responsibility** Yes No **Primary Job Function:** + To ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, promote a culture of safety, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance. **Core Job Responsibilities:** + Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and Abbott EHS standards & statutory compliance such as renewal of factory license, PCB consent & fire NOC etc. + Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs and policies. + Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. + Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence. + Oversee waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of operations. + Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness. + Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including training, inspections, incident reports, and regulatory submissions. + To proposed & monitor various energy & water saving projects. + To manage the operation of the ESTP for effective and compliant wastewater treatment. **Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:** Direct Reports: 03 no’s Indirect Reports: Nil **Position Accountability/Scope:** + To ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, promote a culture of safety, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance. **Minimum Education:** + Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety, Advanced Diploma in Environment Engineering, MBA in Fire & Safety **Minimum Experience/Training Required:** + 14.5 Years Signature Employee: Signature Manager: _______________________ _________________________ An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
