The Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations in the Methodist Hospital Operating Rooms combines clinical experience with contemporary leadership practices aligned with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent clinical outcomes. Responsible for partnering with the unit Manager to develop and implement action plans focused on quality and safety, operational efficiency, and enhancing patient and staff experiences. The role leads the execution and evaluation of these plans, fostering an environment where staff are empowered to deliver high-quality care. As a member of the leadership team, the Assistant Manager supports a 24/7 operational, staffed OR unit, with an emphasis on evening shifts.   Key Responsibilities:   Collaborate with the unit Manager to develop, implement, and evaluate action plans for quality, safety, and operational improvements in the OR. Lead the execution of these plans, analyzing their effectiveness and making adjustments as needed. Support a culture of safety, clinical excellence, and staff engagement. Mentor, coach, and empower OR clinical staff to ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and professional standards. Assist in operational planning, staffing, and resource management to optimize OR efficiency. Promote compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and protocols. Foster a team environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional development. Analyze clinical and operational data to support decision-making and quality initiatives. Qualifications and Requirements:   Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Additional advanced life support certifications may be required per department policies. Some leadership experience (formal or informal) preferred but not required. Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively during evening shifts and manage a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Why Join Us:
