Assistant Manager, Chemical Regulations(006942)
Our EC/ES Product Stewardship APAC unit plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with national and international chemical legislation. As the first point of contact for Product Stewardship topics, we actively engage with stakeholders, monitor regulatory developments, and promote responsible chemical management throughout the lifecycle of our products. By sharing our knowledge and expertise, we aim to ensure that Product Stewardship is integrated into all aspects of our operations.

Main Tasks:
• You are together with the Chemical Regulations Manager the primary contact for ECs business units for Asian chemical regulations. In close cooperation with the Trade Control Supervisor you stay up to date with the latest regulations and requirements. This helps us to ensure compliance with the legal regulations for EC operations (ECO, ECR, ECT) for finished products in APAC.
• In Asia several countries require information to be reported to Authorities. You will prepare and submit all necessary information to Asian Authorities in accordance with local and regional regulations for more than 10 countries. This will require collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather necessary data for submissions.
• In managing Trade Compliance Block Management, you will verify that all products meet stringent regulatory requirements before shipment, thereby safeguarding our business integrity and reputation in the market.
• Staying informed about changes in chemical regulations and trade compliance requirements across various Asian markets will allow you to develop and implement processes that enhance authority reporting and compliance management effectively.
• Lastly, you assist internal teams in understanding and implementing best practices for Product Stewardship. This involves providing guidance on Authority reporting and Trade Control.


• Completed scientific studies (B.Sc or M. Sc), preferably in chemistry.
• Regulatory affairs experience, specifically in Asian Pacific chemical regulations. Experience in authority reporting and trade compliance management is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with the business unit’s portfolio, markets, and industries.
• High level of commitment and teamwork skills, flexibility, customer orientation, as well as independent and structured work approach.
• Well-versed in IT applications, with expert knowledge in SAP EHS system. Experience in developing and managing projects, as well as analyzing and solving problems.
• Clear and authentic communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, translate regulatory/technical information clearly.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, pragmatism, and hands-on mentality.
