The Opportunity:

The Assistant Marketing Manager, Category Marketing for Skincare plays a critical role in supporting and executing comprehensive marketing communications. This position is responsible for ensuring precision in asset lists, communications, and campaign compositions. The role involves pulling relevant insights and data to support campaign strategy development and executing brand and SKU campaigns from briefing through final implementation. The ideal candidate will be someone on the pulse of skincare trends, with a passion for the beauty industry. 

 

Responsibilities:

Support & planning marketing campaign strategy for the skincare category (30% of time spent) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish comprehensive 360-degree marketing plans Develop strategies spanning in-store (fixtures, collateral), digital (site, email, social, video), and external/media channels (programmatic, custom content) Brand and SKU Launch Awareness (25% of time spent) Lead and manage launch activations Coordinate with Creative and Editorial teams or agencies to deliver campaign objectives Ensure compelling copy and visuals across all marketing channels Communication and Partnership (25% of time spent) Develop and maintain productive relationships with key cross-functional partners across a highly matrixed organization including merchandising, brand marketing, digital marketing, creative, social, production, project management, analytics, and across business units such as Canada and Sephora@Kohl's Marketing Execution & Strategy (20% of time spent) Understand and leverage Sephora's marketing vehicles Help build client journey and marketing plans aligned with best practices Support managers in developing communication plans for digital and major Sephora campaigns Embody Sephora's Core Values Demonstrate commitment to Passion for Client Service, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect for All, Teamwork, and Initiative

 

Qualifications:

4+ years of marketing experience 3-4 years of multi-channel marketing skills (store, digital, social media, advertising) Preferred experience in agency, retail, and/or beauty industry Skills and Competencies: Comfortable working with ambiguity and thinking with agility Highly collaborative with strong cross-functional communication skills Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Ability to thrive in a retail-oriented environment (i.e. fast-paced, high level of ambiguity, & agility) College degree or equivalent experience  Bonus if you're a social media maven familiar with prompt marketing (Gen AI)         #LI-SR1

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $87,000.00 - $97,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
