The Maize Purchase Assistant is responsible for to efficiently procure good quality raw material for Rafhan at competitive prices. Moreover, to supervise the purchase activities of the maize buying agents within and outside the market.
Core Responsibilities:
To keep watch on competitors’ activities in grain markets and report to HOD.
To monitor and verify that daily maize purchase prices used by the commission agents are within authorized limits of the company.
To check and supervise filling, sewing and weight of purchased maize by commission agents.
Continuous watch on weighments to achieve the CI goal.
Maintain communication on daily basis with HOD, market dynamics, logistic situations and other relevant market news that will impact corn costs.
To facilitate smooth dispatch of maize purchased by the agents on approved freight rates.
To supervise timely disbursement of payments sent by company to the vendors / parties from whom maize is purchased.
Real time rate entry in grain markets through mobile phone device
To conduct crop survey of spring and autumn seasons for strategic buying planning.
Supervision of maize buying agents activities.
Share market intelligence with HOD on regular basis.
Maintain an effective working relationship with all stakeholders.
Interact, execute orders, and report transactions under the direction of the HOD.
To conduct audit of maize buying agents at the end of each season.
Participation in learning events for self-growing.
Comply with the rules set by the EHS Committee and ensure that all the EHS guidelines are duly abided by.
To promote safety culture in Grain Markets.
Sourcing of corn supplier.
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
1 – 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
Graduation
Required behaviors and skills:
Thorough knowledge of grain markets of maize producing areas.
Honest and negotiators.
Computer literate having sufficient knowledge of MS Office etc.
Proficient in Urdu and English languages.
